Delete Your AptyRead Account
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your AptyRead account and all associated data, please follow the instructions below.
⚠️ Important: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your child's learning progress, purchased levels, and account information will be permanently deleted.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:
- Your account credentials (email or phone number)
- Your child's learning progress and scores
- All lesson completion data
- Purchase history
- Any stored preferences or settings
What We Keep
For legal and business purposes, we may retain:
- Transaction records (for accounting and tax purposes) - anonymized after 7 years
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics data (cannot be linked back to you)
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Delete from the App (Coming Soon)
- Open the AptyRead app
- Go to Settings or Profile
- Tap on "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision
- Your account will be deleted within 48 hours
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
- Send an email to support@aptyread.ai
- Use the subject line: "Delete AptyRead Account"
- Include your registered email address or phone number
- We will process your request within 48 hours
- You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
Before You Go
If you're having issues with the app or have feedback, we'd love to hear from you. Sometimes problems can be resolved without deleting your account. Contact us at support@aptyread.ai and we'll do our best to help.
Data Deletion Timeline
Once we receive your deletion request:
- Immediate: Your account will be deactivated and you won't be able to log in
- Within 48 hours: All personal data and learning progress will be permanently deleted from our active systems
- Within 30 days: Data will be removed from backup systems
